CRANIAL MRV

Technique: TOF ( time of flight ).

REPORT:

Images of the venous cranial vessels demonstrates a superior sagittal sinus of normal caliber with  normal arrangement of draining superficial cerebral veins.

The great cerebral vein Galen inferior sagittal , straight sinus and left sigmoid sinuses  appear normal.

The right sigmoid sinuses present a normal caliber.

The other evaluable deep cerebral veins , basal and labbe are normally developed and patent.

No venous segments contain flow voids or filling defects.

– Narrowing of right transverse sinus with inthimal irregularity suggestive for congenital hypoplasia & focal thrombosis

– Focal filling defect in distal of left transverse sinus suggestive for focal thrombosis

are seen

– In comparison to previous MRI , irregularity in right transverse sinus & increased in size of left transverse sinus defect , is significant .
