THORACIC SPINE MRI

(Without contrast)

Technique : Sagittal T1  , T2 , Axial T2 .

REPORT:

The thoracic spine shows a smooth kyphotic curvature with normal alignment.

The bony spinal canal has normal width , neural foramina and  posterior element displays normal nature .

The visualized spinal cord is normal .

Paravertebral stripe is normal in shape and signal intensity .

– Mid thoracic spondylosis – disc space narrowing , dehydration & bulging

– A well – defined cyst like lesion ( 9 x 17 mm ) in right paravertebral adjacent to T4/T5 suggestive for loculated pleural effusion & paravertebral cystic lesion

are seen

COMMENT : spiral C.T SCAN with &  without contrast is recommended .
